Omron 9440403 Saw Limiting Sensor
Small unopened Omron carton with a white warehouse reference label over the face. The label reads part number 9440403 and description exactly as printed, SENSOR, 2PC SAW LIMITING, quantity one each. The carton itself is the only branding on the item: the Omron name is printed on the end band and the fine print along the edge is Omron sensor literature, the paragraph that ends "measures to reduce interference".
Our catalog previously had this number as an aftermarket electrical connector. That was wrong, and it has been removed. What the packaging and the label together support is a sensor, sold through a forestry parts counter, whose job is saw limiting. On a harvester or processor head the saw limit sensor is what tells the control system where the bar is: it confirms the bar has returned fully home before the feed rollers are allowed to drive, and it is the input behind a saw that will not start or a head that refuses to feed after a cut.
