Genuine HD Hyundai MX528792 Cabin Air Main Filter
Factory HD Hyundai Construction Equipment carton, label reading part number MX528792, description FILTER, reference block XL01 D1 C0305D04, batch H2301, made in the Republic of Korea. This is the main cabin air conditioning filter on the articulated dump trucks, and it is a physically large flat element rather than the little panel filter you get on an excavator. Dealer catalogues carry it interchangeably with 400402-00097 and describe it as the aircon main filter, which lines up with the element in front of us.
The catalogue had this listed against an $18.99 price tag as a generic cabin filter, which was well off. This is the primary HVAC element for a rock truck cab, sized to keep up with a much larger blower than an excavator uses. An articulated truck spends its life hauling through its own dust cloud on a haul road, so this filter is what stands between the operator and a full shift of breathing silica. When it loads up you lose defrost performance first, then air conditioning capacity, then you start putting positive pressure problems into the cab and dust finds its way in around the door seals.
