Genuine Fleetguard AF55309 Direct Flow Secondary Air Filter

Direct flow housings still use a safety element behind the primary, and this is that element. It is smaller and lighter than the primary and it does very little filtering in normal service, which is exactly the point. It only earns its keep on the day the primary lets go, and then it earns all of it at once.
