Factory Fleetguard carton, sealed, photographed on our own bench. The label reads CV50626, Crankcase Ventilation Filter in English, French and Spanish, quantity one, supplier FLTGR, origin USA, with the build code CV5062600MF beside it. Somebody in the warehouse has written D6B2 across the red band in marker. We read that as a shelf coordinate rather than anything to do with the part, and we have left it visible in the photo instead of tidying it out.

On the twelve litre Cummins the coalescer is the part that keeps oil out of the intake. Blowby leaves the crankcase loaded with oil mist, the element strips that mist back to liquid and drains it, and the clean gas is returned or vented. Skip it and the consequences arrive in order: oil film through the charge air plumbing, rising crankcase pressure, then a dipstick or a seal being pushed. This is a static coalescer, so there is no spinning rotor to worry about, only a service element to change.
