Genuine Fleetguard LF17557 Lube Filter Element | Case Iveco Cursor | 21217-414500

Genuine Fleetguard LF17557 Lube Filter Element

Photographed from directly above so the moulded end cap is readable. The plastic cap carries Fleetguard, LF17557, Made in China and the assembly code 21217 414500 around a splined centre tube. There is no paper label on this one, the identity is moulded into the part itself, which is about as good as provenance gets.

This is a large diameter cartridge element, roughly 122 mm across and 224 mm long, rated close to 98.7 percent efficiency at 5 micron. That is a fine filter by heavy duty standards and it belongs to a high pressure common rail engine family where injector life depends on oil cleanliness. The splined top is not decoration: it drives with the housing cap, so seat it square and let the cap pull it home rather than forcing it.
