Genuine Fleetguard LF3000 Combination Lube Filter

Tall can, factory shrink wrap intact, photographed on our own bench. The printing on the can is specific and worth quoting exactly: Fleetguard LF3000, Combination Lube Filter, Cummins 3318853, with the plus three quarter turn torque marks near the base.

Combination is the whole point of this filter and the reason it costs more than a plain can of the same size. Part of the oil entering the filter is diverted through a much finer bypass element and returned to the sump, so over an oil change interval the whole sump gets polished to a level the full flow element alone cannot reach. Cummins specified it that way on the N14 family. Fitting a full flow only can with the same thread will bolt up and will quietly delete that bypass circuit.
