Genuine Hyundai 400504-00241 Hydraulic Pilot Filter Element
The box in the photo is an HD Hyundai Construction Equipment genuine parts carton with the tamper hologram intact. The printed description is ELEMENT-FILTER(PILOT), origin is Korea, and the pack quantity is 1 EA.
If you know this number as a Doosan part you are right. 400504-00241 comes out of the Doosan Infracore number block, and since HD Hyundai took over Doosan Infracore the same element is boxed as HD Hyundai genuine. It is the same part whether your service manual says Doosan, DEVELON or Hyundai.
What a pilot filter does
- Cleans the low flow pilot oil that commands the main control valve spools.
- Keeps varnish and wear metal out of the solenoids and pilot orifices, which are the smallest clearances in the hydraulic system.
- Protects joystick feel. A plugged pilot filter shows up as slow, vague or sticky control response long before anything else fails.
Catalogued applications
Published parts catalogues list this element on Doosan DX140LC, DX170W-5, DX210W-5, DX225LC-5 and DX255LC-5 machines on a 1,000 hour interval. Confirm against your own machine model and serial before ordering.
