Genuine HD Hyundai 400508-00062-CP Fuel Filter Cartridge | DX140 DX225 Excavator

Genuine HD Hyundai 400508-00062-CP Fuel Filter Cartridge

This one arrived in the current green HD Hyundai Construction Equipment genuine parts carton with the holographic authenticity sticker still sealed. The label reads part number 400508-00062-CP, description CARTRIDGE,FUELFILTER, reference block 2D23 S1 QCD1 G99G99G9, one each, made in the Republic of Korea. That green box matters, because this number is the legacy Doosan fuel filter number that carried over to HD Hyundai after the merger, and the catalogue had it filed as an aftermarket equivalent rather than the factory part it is.

It is the fuel filter cartridge on the Doosan and HD Hyundai DX and DL machines running the DL06 and Scania DC09 or DC13 engines. On a common rail machine the fuel filter is doing the work that keeps injectors alive. Jobsite fuel picks up water and tank scale, and the difference between the factory media and a pattern element is not the first thousand hours, it is what shows up in the injector return flow at three thousand. A genuine cartridge holds its rated micron efficiency across the whole service interval and seals properly against the head so it will not pull air past the gasket on a hot restart.
