Genuine Hyundai ZSAE-00012 Urea DEF Filter | Hyundai Construction Equipment SCR

Genuine Hyundai ZSAE-00012 Urea DEF Filter

Straight off our shelf in the black Hyundai Core Motion carton, genuine parts hologram intact. The label reads ZSAE-00012, description FILTER-UREA, packing code VJ27 A1 QCD1 G03D19A1, one each, made in Germany.

Urea, sold as diesel exhaust fluid, is dosed into the exhaust stream ahead of the SCR catalyst. It is a corrosive fluid that crystallises easily, and the dosing injector has very fine internal passages. This filter is the last thing standing between the tank and that injector.

What it does

• Traps crystallised urea and tank debris before it reaches the dosing module.
• Protects the SCR injector, the most expensive single item in the aftertreatment circuit.
• Helps keep DEF quality sensors reading correctly so the machine does not derate.
• A scheduled service item, not a failure part, so replace it on interval.
