Genuine John Deere F058908 Hydraulic Oil Filter Element
Factory John Deere carton, part number F058908, quantity one, made in Germany, date block 20211103 42. This is the hydraulic oil filter element for the John Deere forwarder line, and it is the number Deere lists inside service kit F691994 for the 1910G.
A forwarder hydraulic system is a hard place to be a filter. The crane is cycling every few seconds all shift, the oil runs hot, and the return flow carries whatever the pump and the slew bearing are shedding. This element is a cartridge roughly 210 mm long by 81 mm across, and the reason to buy the Deere part rather than a pattern element is the bypass and collapse rating. A cheap element that collapses on a cold morning start dumps everything it has already caught straight back into the circuit, and on a machine with load sensing valves that is a very expensive way to save forty dollars.
